Most Photographed Castle In Scotland - Eilean Donan

Our quest was a visit to Eilean Donan, one of the most photographed castles in the world. Its been perched on a small island where three Lochs meet since the 6th century. A good spot for controlling the sea-lanes. During the next 800 years there have been many variants on the castle. ItbBecame a strategic location as the Lord of the Islands. Many battles between Viking and Scotts were fought here but today it's been restored and tourists flock to learn about what was once the stronghold of the clan Macrae.
