Don’t you find it weird how you have no trouble having a conversation with your friends, but when it comes to talking to a woman, you struggle? I know how you feel.

The solution to this problem is empathy. I know it’s corny, but hear me out. My game dramatically changed when I began using empathy. I went from struggling and thinking what to say next to having free-flowing conversations that required little to no effort. I’ll begin with 3 reasons why empathy is so powerful with women.

1. It creates an instant connection. What’s the difference between your close friends and a stranger? The difference is how you feel about them. The goal of conversing with a woman is to connect with her in the hope that it may lead to sex.

If you feel the connection first by simply building some minute rapport, the girls will begin to feel that same connection. It’s due to mirror neurons.

2. It makes you a good listener. Feeling empathy for others causes you to become naturally curious about them. Your analytical mind won’t be guiding the conversation.

You’ll be guided by your genuine emotions. With little to no effort, you’ll come up with great questions that will elicit deep and emotional responses. You’ll want to listen more than you speak.

People will feel heard, understood and accepted. This causes people to open up and be themselves around you. Girls won’t interact with you using their representative or their persona for guys who hit on them.

3. You can be yourself. Our best self comes through when we’re being unselfish as long as we don’t compromise our values. By having compassion towards others, you’ll be able to be yourself. The desire to make an impression won’t hinder you from making a connection with a girl.

When you attempt to be disingenuous, people’s subconscious mind will bring about your worst nightmare - the representative aka inner bitch. Give yourself permission to be yourself by letting go of the need to make a connection.

How do you cultivate empathy?

1. Meditate. Do it 5-10 minutes a day and you’ll be able to see the difference in 1 week. You’ll be more patient and compassionate toward others.

2. Realize who you really are. Another way to cultivate empathy is to start with yourself. First, love and build a connection with yourself. If you have self-hatred and resentment in your heart, that will inhibit the natural flow.

When you were a baby, you didn’t have a personality, an identity and a sense of self. Yet, you were you. The one constant thing you have throughout all the changes in your life is this: awareness. You can lose your senses, but you’ll still be inside. This awareness is who you are.

You think you’re your personality or the body you’re inhibiting, but that’s all temporary. Who you are is what remains constant. The same material that makes you is the same material that makes me. We aren’t that different.

When you realize that we’re all made of the same material, you begin to make a connection with all things. By being in touch with your inner self, you begin to see yourself in others.
