The elephants go swimming & Sebakwe water bombs Tigere while he films!

Our footage of this herd swim is a little shaky at times but we wanted to share it with you anyway! We have plenty more moments to share too, but we loved how Tigere captured his best friend, Sebakwe up-close enjoying every second in the waterhole, whether sparring with Mambo or creating waves with his great force. Sebakwe bombs Tigere with a strong squirt of water from his trunk, while his friend films him in the shade.

His power as the dominant male is clear and his status and strength unwavering even with the growing bulls coming up around him, like Jabulani and youngsters, Mambo and Zindoga.

Zindoga enjoys some water-bathing too, as well as Limpopo who lolls sideways in the shallows, as a duck floats past her on the water. Timisa and Tokwe also spend some time fully submerged in the dam and in the distance you can spot the trio: Lundi, Khanyisa and Kumbura, walking and swimming across the width of the waterhole to the other side.

How fortunate to carry a snorkel with you wherever you go! You never know when you may come across a waterhole just for you and your herd!
