天朝贊美歌 - "Ode to the Heavenly Kingdom" Taiping Hymn 太平天國禮拜詩歌

During the Taiping Rebellion, Hong Xiuquan repurposed numerous Protestant hymns for use in the Taiping liturgy. "Ode to the Heavenly Kingdom" is the only one that survived with both words and melody extent. The melody is a classic protestant hymn from the Reformation era Geneva Psalter often attributed to French composer Louis Bourgeois in 1551, known as "the Old One Hundred" or "the Doxology." Despite the reference to the Trinitarian God in this hymn, Hong did not believe in the Trinity in an orthodox manner. In Taiping theology, the Son is not equal to the Father.
太平天國起義期間，洪秀全用過基督新教贊美詩的曲調給拜上帝會作詩歌。其中詞曲皆流傳至今的就是這首“天朝贊美詩”。其曲調來源於1551年宗教改革時期的歐洲。值得注意的是，儘管歌詞中提及”三位為合一真神“，拜上帝會對三位一體的理解是偏離正統基督教的，拜上帝會認爲耶穌不是神，只有天父是神。
