The Last Tropical Glaciers | Wild Mountains of East Africa
Have you ever heard of "Tropical Glaciers"? These are glaciers found in Latin America, East Africa, and Indonesia, all straddling the equator. To survive, these tropical glaciers are located at very high elevations, mostly above 5000 m (16 000 ft). Today, these glaciers are losing their fight against climate change. In less than a decade, most of the glaciers of Africa and Indonesia will be gone. This project aims to create a series of educational, immersive videos filmed in these fast-changing environments. Our next expedition will be focusing on the tropical glaciers of East Africa.
