Lucy Houliston | All About Sloths
Lucy loves weird and wonderful creatures! Join in as she shares her passion for sloths and their amazing adaptations. After studying television production at university she turned her adventures to wildlife filmmaking and writing. It's taken her everywhere from a rugged and remote Scottish islands, upon which I engaged in a man-versus-mallow battle in the name of seabird conservation; to Uganda, where she came nose-to-nose with a herd of wallowing hippos and stood in as a wildlife tour guide on a cruise along the Nile. Last year, Lucy teamed up with zoologist, author and broadcaster Lucy Cooke to help promote and protect what is now one of her favourite animals: the sloth. Since becoming Vice President of the Sloth Appreciation Society, she's delivered talks on sloths in schools, produced videos that have reached audiences of tens of thousands, and devoted an entire summer to documenting these strange, slow-moving mammals at an animal sanctuary in Central America.
