PIANONO ( Filipino Style Swiss Roll ) How to Make Pianono Roll
This Rolled Sponge cake is a Filipino style Swiss roll. Feel free to use whatever filling you want any fruit jelly will work as well. Add any flavoring to your liking. This is just Filipino version. This cake is often sold by slice at any bakery in the Philippines and the filling is just a simple Filipino margarine and granulated sugar. And rolled into granulated sugar.super easy recipe and perfect dessert.

Pianono (Filipino Style Swiss Roll)
Ingredients :
Meringue:
Egg whites 6
Sugar 81g (1/3 cup)
Cream of tartar pinch
Cake:
Egg yolks 6
Salt 1g (1/4 tspn)
Sugar 60g (1/4 cup +1 Tblspn)
Cake flour 111g (3/4 cup + 3 Tblspn)
Baking powder 2g (1/2 tspn)
Vanilla 9g (1 Tblspn)
Vegetable oil 77g (1/4 +3 Tblspn)
Filling:
Margarine 1/2 cup
Sugar 1/4 cup or more if needed
Note: Feel free to use whatever filling you want. Fruit spread like strawberry or raspberry is another option or even Nutella and chocolate😋 or even a simple sweetened whipped cream or buttercream. I also like using dulce de Leche if you watch my alfajores video you can check out the dulce de Leche recipe. You can also add simple syrup into the cake before you add any filling.
Toppings:
Powdered sugar or rolled into granulated sugar. In the Philippines they usually just rolled the cake into granulated sugar and this cake is usually sold by slice at any bakery.
