Tiramisu: the classic Italian dessert. You will see how easy it is to make Tiramisu, a dessert that all your family and friends will love! See recipe below
INGREDIENTS:
12 x lady finger biscuits
125grams x mascarpone cheese
250ml x cold coffee
1 1/2 tablespoons x castor sugar
150ml x fresh cream
3 x tablespoons of marsala
METHOD:
-add cheese, cream, sugar and half of marsala in a mixing bowl
-whisk till a smooth, velvet texture, being careful not to over whip
-once mixture has reach correct consistency set aside in refrigerator
-place coffee in container large enough so biscuits can be soaked
-soak biscuits face down first, then when edges are just starting to soak, flip biscuit over dunk the other side quickly and lift out, letting all excess coffee run off biscuit
-lay biscuit on rectangle plate and repeat this process until you have six biscuits in a row
-using some of the remaining marsala (leaving enough marsala for the next layer) lace the biscuits
-cover this layer of biscuits with mascarpone mixture
-when biscuits are covered repeat process on top of mascarpone layer with another row of biscuits again lacing with the remaining marsala
-once this next biscuit layer is complete cover entire cake with mascarpone mixture including all sides
-wipe away any excess cream from sides of the plate
-cover cake with grated chocolate and refrigerate for at least two hours before serving
-cut into finger slices to serve
