Harry Baierl: Kamikaze [Full Album + Bonus] (1983)

Harald Baierl was a German keyboard player who started working for Frank Farian in 1980 and played on all Farian's productions with Boney M., Precious Wilson, La Mama, Far Corporation, Milli Vanilli, No Mercy & La Bouche over the next 20 years, also under the pseudonym P.G. Wylder. In July '82 he released the single Serengeti as Harry Baier (without the -l) on Hansa International, and the LP Kamikaze followed in May '83, with the lead single Kamikaze Look. Farian-singer Gilla wrote the lyrics and sang backing vocals for the three songs Kamikaze Look, Dancing In Your Eyes, and Serengeti, the latter featuring a break that ended up being recycled in Boney M.'s Exodus. Baierl also reworked the second part of Boney M.'s Silly Confusion which was not credited separately on the original album but was included as part of the track Kick Back. Neither the LP nor the singles met with any success. Before Baierl's passing I had the pleasure of chatting to him on Facebook, he was a very nice person and so grateful of the appreciation of the tracks he played on over the years.
