With special thanks to MYDREAM COMETRUE for providing me with the missing tracks!

Bob McGilpin's career as a performer was short-lived. After his three disco smashes, Superstar, Sexy Thing, and Get Loose, his record label Butterfly Records went bust late 1979 when MCA Records pulled out of a 12-albums-a-year-deal due to disco's rapidly declining popularity in the US. He signed with Casablanca Records, arguably the most successful disco label in the USA, but by 1980 their biggest star, Donna Summer, had left the label; Village People's hits were drying up, and although Lipps Inc.'s Funkytown hit #1 early on the year, Casablanca was releasing so much product by then that failed to chart. Bob McGilpin submitted his album in May 1980 but it was felt there were no stand-out cuts, and he went back into the studio to record Down With The Wire which was released as a 12" single only along with the album in July that year. Repeating none of the success he had had with his first two LP's, he withdrew as a singer and opened his own recording studio which he still has to this day in Nashville, Tennessee.
