Finland VS China - Intel Core i7 930 Overclocked to 5.8GHz+ on LN2

As a very promising gentleman from mainland China was able to take down 2 of my old and very strong top scores with the Intel Core i7 930, I obviously wanted to take them back. With 930 you have 2 options for the highest clock speeds, at either 1 core running and multiplier of 23, or multiple cores and multiplier of 21.

I decided to try them both and preserved some of the failure footage as well to get some idea how those 2 would differ from each other. I got the 5.8GHz validation with the Rampage 3 Extreme and multiplier of 23, but that combination was very unstable or flaky in tests like Super PI 1M and I even observed multiple bugged runs with too good performance.

For some reason my Rampage 3 Extreme stopped working after saving BIOS settings during this session, so I switched to my new Rampage 3 Black Edition, which was very smooth and stable at high FSB and multiplier of 21. I was able to do a very nice Super PI 1M top score at CPU frequency of 5.67GHz.
