Cancelling of Quinton de Kock is the ‘kind of bigotry we once fought’

Sky News host Andrew Bolt says the cancelling of Quinton de Kock after he refused to take a knee against racism is an example of the “kind of bigotry we once fought”.

Quinton de Kock pulled out of a T20 cricket World Cup game after the South African cricket board determined every member of the team had to take a knee at the start of the match.

“You know, I've never heard of racists forcing out a player from international cricket teams – not since the fall of South Africa's apartheid regime,” Mr Bolt said.

“But woke ‘anti-racists’ have now done exactly that – they've forced out a player from the South African team of all things.

"The new race warriors have managed to do what no old-style racists have in decades, and isn't that the kind of bigotry we once fought?”

Mr Bolt discussed the issue with the Daily Telegraph's cricket writer Ben Horne.
