Decorative Patch Making with Justin Shannin

Embrace self-expression through DIY with this patch making and t-shirt decorating double feature. This is part 1, learning how to design a wearable patch with felt, markers, and fabric paint. Part 2 will teach you how to use many of these same materials to decorate a t-shirt.

The materials shown here were made available in teen take-home kits distributed at each Chicago library branch in December 2020. These kits were a collaboration between Radical Fit and CPL's annual Teen Winter Challenge art competition. Ava and Justin support teen arts initiatives at the Chicago Public Library.
