Cosplay Craft: Lace Fronts and Ventilating

Ready, set, cosplay! In this tutorial Alex will show us how to ventilate hair, a process where hairs are hand tied onto a net in order to create a lace front wig or facial hair. We'll also learn about different kinds of lace and how they can be used in your cosplay look.This video is part of our Radical Fit Cosplay Craft series.

For this program you will need:
- different kinds of lace: swiss, theater, and film
- ventilating needle
- hair
- a wig
- a wig head
- pins
- spirit gum
- pros aid and pros aid remover
- Got2b Glued hairspray
- wig cap

Alex Bell is a competitive cosplayer from Atlanta who has a degree in costume technology and a wig-making certification. They have been cosplaying since 2014. They won cosplay awards for best in show at Atlanta Comic Con and Best Journeyman Fabrication at Momocon for their Na'vi from Avatar cosplay. They are currently a graduate student working on research relating to traditional clothing and costume from East Asia with the intent to teach their research at the college level.
