Drugstore Wavy Hair Product Review: Garnier Fructis Curl Treat Defining Smoothie & Shaping Jelly

While digging through my products, I found a few that had been sitting in the back, unopened for longer than I'm happy to admit. But while doing some research for my product review, I realized that these products aren't even available in most drugstores anymore. They are drugstore prices still however on Amazon, at ~$7 a piece. The two products are the Garnier Fructis Curl Treat Defining Smoothie and Shaping Jelly.

The Shaping Jelly is Curly Girl Method (or CGM) approved. It is paraben-free, silicone-free, sulfate-free and wax free. The Defining Smoothie is sulfate free, silicone free, and paraben free, but it does have beeswax in it. Both products also have glycerin as the third ingredient.

In this video, I demo these two products on my wavy/curly hair, and put them to the test. The weather has been pretty humid recently, so I test out these products in the humidity and see if they can stand up to it with the glycerin so high on the ingredients list.

I'll check back in on day 2 to update on these products longevity and how the humidity affects my hair.
