Steampunk Costume Tutorial with Curly Hair (Costume, Hair, Drugstore Makeup Tutorial)

Happy Halloween, everyone!

It's time for costume two out of four! This week, I'm doing a steampunk look. This costume is great because you can adapt it to all different climates. If you live in a colder climate and need to go out, you can make this costume nice and warm. Or if you live in a warmer climate (or you'll just be inside while wearing it) you can make this nice and cool.

There are so many options for a steampunk costume. You don't have to go with what I did here by any means. Throw "steampunk" into Amazon and see what pops up!

For those who've never heard of it, or maybe just aren't completely sure, "Steampunk" is a term that refers to a sub-genre of sci-fi that explores alternate realities where the dominant technology stayed the same as it did during the Victorian Era, which was many steam. It looks at how those in the Victorian times saw technology advancing with what they had and make it a reality in story form. It's a similar concept to the Jetson's, the old cartoon, how they envisioned what technology would look like in the future based on what was currently available to them. (The Jetson's actually fall into a category called Atompunk).

The costumes tend to be based on either Victorian clothing or Wild West clothing. Hope this helps!
