Curlsmith's Detox Kit Product Review and Treluxe Curl Cream and Gel Product Review

If you're anything like me, your scalp gets super itchy this time of year. Here in Colorado, it's dry and cold and that leads to an unhappy head of hair. When it starts to get to the point that I just can't take it anymore, there are a few products that I reach for. But sometimes, those products aren't enough either. So for the holidays, I thought I'd pamper myself with something just a little bit more. A while back, I bought the Curlsmith Detox kit. I'd only used it once before. Curlsmith does have some more expensive products, so I tend to save them for special occasions.

So I asked myself... How do I deal with the stress of the holidays? How do I deal with the addition stress of the pandemic and covid at the same time as the holidays?

The conclusion I came to was to take some time for myself, allow myself to relax and take a break. I took my time doing my makeup and then followed up by taking some time with my curly hair. First, I washed and conditioned with Curlsmith's Detox Kit to help relieve the itching in my scalp and restore my hair to health. Then I went in with another few products for styling that I use to pamper myself with, the Hydrating Curl Cream and Defining Gel by Treluxe. All of these products are Curly Girl Method, or CGM friendly and are sulfate free, silicone free, and paraben free. Both the Treluxe products and the Curlsmith products are made with some excellent natural products, including, but not limited to, fermented rice water, aloe vera, volcanic scrub, apple cider vinegar, dragon fruit extract, tomato extract, and much more.

Treluxe products are made with natural ingredients and are cruelty free as well, and is a Black-owned company. Not only that, but proceeds can be used to contribute to education and work with at-risk girls in lower income areas.
