Cyndi Lauper & Rob Thomas - Rockin' Around The Christmas Tree and Time After Time

On December 19, 2014, Cyndi Lauper and Rob Thomas, lead singer of the band Matchbox Twenty, performed at a benefit at "Blythedale Children's Hospital", a hospital dedicated to the diagnosis, care and rehabilitation of children with complex medical and rehabilitation needs. The participating artists, in addition to performing, donated personal items to be auctioned and raise funds for the hospital.
Cyndi sang her version of the Christmas classic "Rockin' Around The Christmas Tree", which is part of her album "Merry Christmas...Have A Nice Life", from 1998, and a duet of the beautiful "Time After Time", which is part of her first solo album "She's So Unusual", from 1983, with Rob Thomas, who has already re-recorded this classic with his band.
In addition to Rob Thomas, on stage were Rob Hyman, who composed Time After Time with Cyndi, William Wittman, who has worked with Cyndi since 1983, the wonderful Elaine Caswell, who has been a backing vocalist in Cyndi's band for a long time, and Steve Gaboury, on keyboards.

Em 19 de dezembro de 2014, Cyndi Lauper e Rob Thomas, vocalista da banda Matchbox Twenty, se apresentaram em um evento beneficente no "Blythedale Children's Hospital", um hospital dedicado ao diagnóstico, cuidados e reabilitação de crianças com necessidades médicas e de reabilitação complexas. Os artistas participantes além de se apresentarem doaram itens pessoais para serem leiloados e arracar fundos para o hospital.
Cyndi cantou sua versão do clássico natalino "Rockin' Around The Christmas Tree", que faz parte do seu álbum "Merry Christmas...Have A Nice Life", de 1998, e um dueto da belíssima "Time After Time", que faz parte do seu primeiro álbum em carreira solo "She's So Unusual", de 1983, com Rob Thomas, que já regravou esse clássico com sua banda.
Além de Rob Thomas, estavam no palco, Rob Hyman, que compôs Time After Time com a Cyndi, William Wittman, que trabalha com Cyndi desde 1983, a maravilhosa Elaine Caswell, que é backing vocal na banda da Cyndi há muito tempo, e Steve Gaboury, nos teclados.
Uma atitude nobre e digna de ser aplaudida.
