Advancing with Watercolor: Working with the Figure in Watercolor "The Flamenco Artist”

This is a video done as a supplement to watercolor classes being taught by Gary Tucker in Boston. This is the 3rd in a series that will focus on portraying the figure, or more specifically musicians ad dancers with their instruments. It is a unique model - one that is playing Orr dancing - also a unique challenge To capture movement expressed by the body. This week I am working with Olga a Flamenco artist and focusing on her hands to and the way she moves while performing “Palmas”. The dancer claps the percussion and waits for their moment to perform,. I present a some ways of to see the major lines of the hands, simplifying shapes and then using th simple shapes to make a painting in watercolor.
