Venezuela's Maduro, Wife Transported to NYC Federal Court

Nicolás Maduro arrived in Manhattan to face charges that could keep him behind bars for the rest of his life, after spending more than 24 hours in a US jail.

A US indictment accused Maduro of playing a key role in a broad conspiracy to traffic cocaine into the US, partnering with groups including the Sinaloa Cartel and Tren de Aragua.

Maduro is being held at the Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn under restrictive conditions, with his communications closely monitored and movements carefully managed.
