Bronze Medal at the Freediving World Championships (it was a struggle): Adventures on One Breath #12

The Freediving World Championships 2017 in Roatan was such an incredible competition. Besides competing with the worlds best freedivers it was such a great time with friends. I won a bronze medal in the Free Immersion category and set a new Australian Freediving Record.

I didn't do as well as I hoped in the competition itself though. I bombed out of the 'with fins' category, which is usually my strongest. Basically I was just mentally fatigued by the end of the competition.

Roatan is such a stunning island though and freediving in the caribbean is always beautiful. The crystal clear water just makes the diving so pleasurable. I'm very much looking forward the the next competition. I'm looking forward to freediving deep again!
