Less Steps = More Speed
The fastest sprinters on the planet take fewer steps than their slower peers. The reason is because they have longer strides. So a longer stride can = greater speed. But there is a right way and a wrong way to increase your stride length.
If you want to run faster, actively trying to lengthen your stride isn't going to work. It all comes down to force production.
