It seemed like only yesterday when one day i saw a church building steeple rising from above a distant tree line while I traveled on IH 35. Out of curiosity, I decided to see what kind of church it was. To my surprise, I found the church my Grandmother used to attend and I found her parents (my Great Grandparents) buried in a cemetary across from the church building. I had traveled that part of IH 35 for years never realizing my family roots in the area. Later, after this I found my great great grandparents and great great great grandparents buried a few miles north of there. It is amazing sometimes what people find along the way when they follow their natural curiosity, ask questions, and take paths that are less traveled. I'm not sure where I was heading that day when I decided to check out this site I was seeing from the road, but I was and am very happy I did. My life is so much more enriched by these discoveries.
