Let’s say that we want to copy and paste the column widths in a worksheet. To do this, start by left clicking and holding and dragging over cells in the columns with the widths you want to copy, here, cells A1 and B1, then release the click and hold, so they are highlighted.

From here, I will hold down the control key and hit the c key, you can see this moving line around the cells. Next, I will left click where I want these column widths copied, say cell e1, and then to paste it, I will hold down the control and alt keys and hit the V key.

And a paste special box will appear, in here you can click on column widths, then click on ok, and now the widths have been copied to columns E and F.
