La panadería de Pain Famille hace panes de seis cortes con apariencia de ajo, que también se conoce como "ajo de seis lados". Otras personas prefieren llevar a cabo 8 cortes en lugar de 6, con la finalidad de poder disfrutar de más crema de queso en el relleno. Otros cortan los panes transversalmente, usando panes en formato alargado. Pero el más popular hoy en día es el pan redondo cortado en forma de estrella.

Desde la ciudad de Gangneung, el pan con crema de queso y ajo fue llevado al centro culinario de Gangnam, un distrito famoso y de moda en Seúl. Fue allí donde comenzó a tener mucha demanda entre los coreanos y pasó a formar parte del menú de muchas cafeterías.
