Project for the web for Marketers

Project for the Web is a new product in Microsoft's suite of project management tools which help users work the way they want to work.

Project for the web is designed for part time or informal or accidental project managers to be able to quickly and easily build schedules assign tasks to team members and track progress in a familiar gantt view and roll up reporting into Power BI.

This demonstration is designed to show how a marketing team can quickly roll out a new campaign by brainstorming with a team located across the country.

A big new feature of Project for the Web is co-authoring. Team members can add tasks and ideas in Grid view, Board view which is familiar to Agile teams and then arrange them and assign them all in real time with each other. In legacy versions of Microsoft Project co-authoring was not possible. Updates were made and published in a check in, check out process.

Project for the web is very easy to learn, easy to use and easy to share with others in your organization. Any project manager can create teams or groups by just typing in the credentials of team mates who are synchronized across the Office 365 platform.

Project for the Web is the perfect companion and fills a gap in the Project Management spectrum for Microsoft between Planner and Project Online.

Project for the Web is also extensible with the Power Platform. Reporting rolls up into Power BI with a set of reports 'out of the box'.

Workflows and processes can be added with Microsoft Flow and forms and fields can be added through Power Apps.
