FIRST VLOG: IBIZA - A CHILLED HOLIDAY BEFORE OUR EPIC ADVENTURE

Ibiza, Spain📍

This was a mini break to Ibiza, Spain at the beginning of this year before we set out on our massive trip. We wanted to vlog this experience to test out the kit and also give you guys a flavour of what our videos could look like whilst we’re away 😀. WHAT WE GOT UP TO:

Santa Eulalia: Our base for the holiday, it has a great promenade and a beautiful marina with some HUGE boats 🛥️. There’s two main streets where tables spill out and tourists eat and drink.

We stayed in Casa Luis which had FOUR! swimming pools, our favourite being the amazing rooftop pool with stunning views of the mountains and the sea.

Hippy Market, Es Cana: This cool hippy market is where you can get all things Wanderlust. It’s open every Wednesday for you to get lost in a maze of dreamcatchers, tie-dye and friendly faces.

San Antonio: This was never a party holiday for us, but it was good to go to San Antonio and watch the stunning sunset from a bar. We walked a little further from Café Mambo and sat right on the edge of a cool bar called The Golden Buddha. It prides itself on having the best view of the sunset. We would highly recommend getting there an hour before the sunset so you can get the best seats 🌅.

Old Town: Probably our favourite place from the holiday, the Old Town, although filled with tourists daily, has still kept its rustic Spanish charm. The Castell D’Eivissa, or Ibiza Castle, is a beautiful, large fortress on the edge of the rocks looking out to sea. It’s a fair climb but worth the views around the whole of the site.

ABOUT US:

We’re a couple based in Leeds, UK. Like everyone, we love a good holiday but we're making our love of travel the main part of the next year by backpacking and traveling to new places.

At the end of 2018 we decided to undertake a big travel adventure whilst we’re young and with no commitments. At the moment we've planned to be away for one year but it could be longer! We moved out of our flat and in with parents to save money and have left our jobs ready to start our once in a lifetime tour ✈️.

We hope to vlog about our experiences and share with you our journey whilst backpacking. We’ve got some idea of the areas we want to visit but this may expand whilst we’re away 🗺️
