Hong Kong Part 2

WHAT WE GOT UP TO:

Easily our most favourite place on our trip across Asia, Hong Kong Part 2 shows you some more of the instagrammable shots this city has to offer.
In the video we meet up with some friends for some drinks and go to an amazing curry house in Chunking Mansions. We visit Nan Lian gardens; a peaceful botanic garden with some beautiful landscaping and oriental inspired buildings, to relax and take some time out from the busy streets of Tsim Sha Tsui.

On our last day we visited the Quarry Bay area and, in particular the famous Yick Fat building where neighbours are practically on top of each other!

During our stay protests in Hong Kong were ramping up, to the point where protesters were being shot at by armed police and people we're being set alight. Although we never experienced or witnessed any violence it was still scary to think this was happening a mere five minutes' walk from us. We retreated back to TST, to the relatively calmer area, ready for our flight out in the morning. Throughout all of this, there is no doubt that Hong Kong is a beautiful place and why Hongkongers want to protect their independence.

ABOUT US: We’re a couple based in Leeds, UK. Like everyone, we love a good holiday but we're making our love of travel the main part of the next year by backpacking and traveling to new places. At the end of 2018 we decided to undertake a big travel adventure whilst we’re young and with no commitments. At the moment we've planned to be away for one year but it could be longer! We moved out of our flat and in with parents to save money and have left our jobs ready to start our once in a lifetime tour . We hope to vlog about our experiences and share with you our journey whilst backpacking. We’ve got some idea of the areas we want to visit but this may expand whilst we’re away
