Crop Sensor (Nikon D3400) vs Full Sensor (Nikon D600)

Many who enter into the world of photography often wonder the difference between a crop sensor camera like the Nikon D3400, Canon T7i, Canon 80D, Sony a6500, etc. and a full sensor camera like the Nikon D750, Nikon D850, Canon 5D Mark IV, etc. Since full sensor cameras typically cost significantly more when compared to crop sensors, people want to know if a noticeable quality difference exist ... in short, is a full sensor camera worth the extra money?

Like crop sensor cameras, many full sensor cameras exists today. In addition, like crop sensor cameras, not all full sensor cameras yield the same result. Nonetheless, after receiving many questions over the last few months, I decided to compare a crop sensor to a full sensor. This is a relatively crude comparison but will hopefully shed some additional light on the situation:).
