January 2021: Project Updates and Farm Tour
With Portugal introducing new lockdown measures, we wanted to get a video out to you as usual this week. In this episode we take a look at some of the projects we’ve started to give you an update on progress; some things we’ve learned and some changes we’ve made.
Stay tuned for details of
* How we’ve identified our three species of orange trees
* What’s growing (and what’s dying) in our no dig veg garden
* How we harvest lettuce
* Improvements we’ve made to our composing system
* Whether the EcoFlow Delta can power a circular saw
* Our next phase of solar power installation and
* What’s going on in the bathroom
We started this video before the new lockdown measures were announced and restrictions have increased since editing it.
The good news is we are still allowed to travel from one residence to another to work on the renovation project. The bad news is we can’t go on the weekends as the property and our rental flat are in different municipalities and travel is banned between them on Saturdays and Sundays. However, this still means work can continue during the week and the videos will keep on coming!
