Testing an Off Grid Solar Power Solution - Ecoflow Delta 1300 - Episode 008

We used to have power at our Portuguese farmhouse but we don't any more. But we have lots of building projects that need our attention and a lot of the work requires power tools.

There are many solutions to this problem. We could get the power turned back on but there's a number of complications with doing that.

We could buy a generator but we would rather avoid petrol/diesel power if at all possible (plus, we only need power from time to time and constantly running a gennie would be wasteful and inefficient).

Alternatively, we could use some kind of renewable energy. Since the sun shines for over 300 days a year here in Portugal, solar power is a good bet.

In this video we talk about some of our short, medium and long term plans for powering our home as well as putting a solar generator - the Ecoflow Delta 1300 - to the test. Will it stack up to the requirements of our off grid DIY building site? Stay tuned to find out...
