MY EATING DISORDER STORY

I struggled with an eating disorder for the best part of five years and since recovering have found the strength to be completely open and honest with my experience. There is so much pressure on young girls to look a certain way and to value our worth on the way that we look. I got caught in a vicious trap of thinking my weight was a measure for how important I was, how attractive I was, how happy I was. Sadly, this kind of story is not unique to me but something so many others go through. If by sharing my story I can help just one person in their recovery then this video has done it's job. Please please tell somebody if you are currently suffering from an eating disorder and seek help. My biggest regret is not opening up and realising I had a problem sooner. You are worth recovery, you are worth looking after, and you are worth so much more than how much you weigh. You can make the decision today to open up, embark on recovery and love yourself for who you are as a person. Trust me when I say being skinny will never give you happiness, and as cheesy as it sounds, it is looking within to find yourself and your confidence that will.
