In August 1999, weighing just five and a half stone, doctors gave 16-year-old anorexic Vicki Carter just four days to live. Ravaged by illness, she refused to be tube fed and fought her parents in the High Court for her right not to eat. Her parents won the case, and by January 2000, Vicki's weight rose to six and three quarter stone. Filmed over the ensuing year 'Our Daughter Won't Eat' tells Vicki's and her parents' story as they continued to struggle for her recovery and reveals the complex emotions involved with the illness for both the sufferer, and their loved ones.
