WARNING To U.S. Service Members - How Some Timeshares Are Scamming U.S. Veterans

Adam Siler, an 8 year Air Force veteran, explains his veteran/active duty service member outreach. Timeshare buying needs to be especially scrutinized by active duty service members. Adam became involved with his outreach after learning about an active duty Navy couple, sold by the same sales agent, who were also promised help refinancing.

As a result, Adam was forced to default. In the case of an active duty service member, a timeshare default can jeopardize a security clearance and possibly a career. He talks about one marine who lost his air unit command over a timeshare foreclosure.

The lack of a timeshare secondary market can be a serious problem for a member of the military that can be deployed at a moment's notice for an extended period of time. Having a resale broker help active duty military members find an affordable timeshare from the secondary moment can avoid such adversity.
