How Slender Saved Horror Games... and Then Blew It

admit it, you were all over that slendermania when Slender: The eight pages came out and suddenly everyone knew all about marble hornets (no you totally didn't just google it last night and then read synopsis's on Wikipedia) Slender and the Slender Man got big enough to warrant not one but TWO movies and one full blown paid game in the form of Slender: The Arrival... too bad it was lame. At the very least Slender: The Eight Pages was able to steer the genre of survival horror games away from post Resident Evil 4 mediocrity and put the horror back into survival horror before it's own successor was a dud.
