'Iran Pres meets Iraqi and Pakistani PMs at UNGA summit'

Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi met Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Iraqi Prime Minster Mustafa Al-Kadhimi on the sideline of the 77th United Nations General Assembly summit in NY, on September 21.

Raisi during his meeting with Sharif sympathized with the victim of the flood in Pakistan and said, " Iran does not hesitate for helping Pakistani flood victims."

They mutually highlighted the cultural bond between the states and emphasized the importance of expansion of commercial ties."

Raisi in his meeting with Al-Kadhimi expressed gratitude to Iraq for hosting Iranian pilgrims. He remarked on the importance of establishing a comprehensive government in Iraq that represents all the political views in Iraq.

Al-Kadhimi on his part appreciated Iran's gratitude and said that Iraq only fulfilled its duty toward Iranian pilgrims. He briefed Raisi about the recent political development in Iraq and underlined the expansion of ties with Iran.
