Raisi arrives in Damascus after 12 years since Iranian Pres visit Syria

Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi arrived in Damascus accompanied by a political and economic delegation on May,3.

Raisi is the first Iranian President that visited Syria after 12 years.

Before his flight, Raisi elaborated on the goals of his visit to Syria and said that extending the political, economic and commercial ties is one of his major goals of visiting Syria.

Raisi was warmly welcomed by Syrian people who gathered outside of the airport.

Visiting Syrian President Bashar al-Assad, the Syrian Prime minister, and Shia's holly shrines in Syria.
