Supporting Pupils with medical conditions in school

Parents of children with medical conditions are often anxious while sending their children to school lest their child’s health deteriorates when they attend school or fear an adverse event. This is because pupils with long-term and complex medical conditions may require ongoing support, medicines and care while at school to help them manage their condition and keep them well .Hence DAV Centenary Public school, Paschim Enclave ,Delhi organized a special session for the school teachers on SUPPORTING PUPILS IN SCHOOL WITH MEDICAL CONDITIONS on September 25,2024.The medical officer of the school, Dr Anshu Asri, guided the teachers on managing various medical conditions as exhibited by the students .Detailed instructions were given to teachers about each ailing child classwise . Teachers made note of the details of the respective children catered by them. All staff members were made to understand their duty of care to such children and what to do in the event of an emergency. This would go a long way in ensuring the safety of such children with respect to health and also prevent any adverse happening in the school .
