Overcoming Addictions ; Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyaan

Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment has launched a nation wide campaign “Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyaan” (NMBA) to combat drug abuse and addiction in India . Hence ,DAV Centenary Public School Paschim Enclave ,Delhi in collaboration with Brahamakumaris Raj yoga and research foundation organized a workshop for the students on Friday ,July 5,2024 The workshop was coordinated by Dr .Anshu Asri,Medical officer of the school . The Objective of the workshop was to empower individuals to overcome addictions and harmful habits through spiritual awareness, self-reflection, and holistic well-being practices. - The workshop covered topics such as Understanding the cycle of addiction, Identifying and managing triggers, Cultivating self-awareness and self-control, Practicing meditation, yoga, and relaxation techniques and how to Build emotional resilience and positive relationships. Members of the PRAHARI CLUB ,an initiative of the school to keep students away from usage of drugs, tobacco and alcohol participated enthusiastically in learning the various tools and techniques taught to manage cravings, develop coping mechanisms, and maintain a balanced lifestyle. Principal of the school, Madam Sonia Malik commented that the emphasis on holistic well-being and spiritual growth as advocated by the Brahamkumaris resonated with the institution's values and mission. She also appreciated the expertise and dedication of the team in addressing this critical social issue.
