Taking My Friend On Her First Backpacking Trip | Backpacking Washington State| Chain Lakes Trail // When Plan A fell through for backpacking up to Sahale Glacier in the North Cascades this summer, I quickly found a Plan B – go backpacking for two nights up to Chain Lakes Trail, behind Stevens Pass off of Highway 2 in the Alpine Lakes Wilderness area.

One of the best parts about this trip was that I got to take my friend on her first backpacking trip ever. I think it’s safe to say she was hooked after this trip.
