SOLO BACKPACKING The Pacific Crest Trail | Section L in Washington | PCT 2020 | Ep. 3

PCT Mile 2631.8, Tentsite to PCT Mile 2653.1, Northern Terminus at the Canadian Border

Today’s the day - I’m going to Canada! Well, kind of. With COVID right now, the border is technically closed so my plan is to tag the Northern Terminus at the border, camp for the night and then make my way back towards Rainy Pass along the PCT.

In the meantime, I pass through a lot of beautiful sights today - Rock Pass, Woody Pass, up by where we camped on the last night of my PCT thru-hike in 2018, the junction to Hopkins Lake and of course the Canadian border. I even went through the burn zone from 2018. Today was the biggest day of my trip so far in terms of mileage, ascent and descent.

Sad News: I lost my spoon somewhere along the trail. Funny News: You’ll have to see what I come up with as an alternative!
