Building a Cedar Pergola | Felling, Chipping, Sawmilling and Construction

This is the story about building a cedar pergola for a wedding at our off grid homestead. We built it with trees from our land and milled the logs into lumber. Follow us as we fell trees, chip up the brush with a wood chipper, and saw the logs into good lumber to build a cedar pergola with our wood mizer sawmill. We used a post and beam framing strategy to save significant time and direct-buried the cedar posts.
