Unexpected Shower Leak Caused Mold and Rot Damage to this Home
We were asked to rip out and replace an original tile installation from this 1995 home since there was suspected water damage. Sure enough, the damage was greater than anyone anticipated. We had to replace a lot of rotten framing, and even masonite siding. We replaced the siding with cement board siding to match and beefed up the framing on the bathroom interior. We took additional precautions to prevent leakage in the future, and prepare for a new tile shower, floor and concrete caps around the tub wall.
