Vintage Railroad Lantern Restoration

I purchased this 1950's Winged Wheel Japanese gas lantern in a resale shop for $9. I thought this was something that deserved to be brought back to life and would be a good opportunity to learn several new skills. The project started with disassembly and then cleaning all the parts of see what I was working with. To my surprise is was not in that bad of shape. I was really excited to see detailed logos on the base and even molded into the glass. After lots of blasting and sanding, I ended up powder coating the piece back to its original red color. The only parts I had to purchase was the wick. I hope you enjoyed watching and if you like this kind of content, please consider subscribing!
