Oxford Vaccine Offers Low Protection Against South African Variant

Trials conducted in South Africa show that, although the vaccines in use now offer good protection against the more severe forms of covid caused by the vaccine-resistant variant that appeared there, it offers much lower protection against mild and moderate forms of covid. This is a problem for the world, but also the UK where Boris Johnson has allowed the South Africa variant to mingle with our own more transmissable form of coronavirus.
