Khanyisa's morning with Lundi, Jabulani, Bubi, Klaserie, Setombe, Somopane and Sebakwe

Another peaceful morning spent in great company!

We decided to slow things down a bit the morning after Khanyisa met Tokwe and the rest of the herd, and let Khanyisa spend more time with the original elephants she was more familiar with, namely Lundi, Jabulani, Bubi, Klaserie, Somopane, Setombe, Zindoga and Sebakwe.

Tokwe, Limpopo, Pisa, Kumbura, Timisa, Fishan and Mambo stayed on the other side of the fence, and soon Zindoga decided instead to join them as they headed out into the bush for the day.

All of the elephants were very relaxed, and there was no change in their behaviour which was reassuring.

Soon Khanyisa and her big elephant family took a leisurely stroll into the reserve, stopping along the way to forage and enjoy their surroundings. Lundi, Bubi and Klaserie never left her side.

When they returned to the stables, Khanyisa had a few special moments with Klaserie (Setombe's daughter) who is very affectionate with and always curious about Khanyisa.

With every day that passes in the company of the elephants, we can see her progression and confidence grow more and more as she learns from them, every step of the way.
