Resurrection | DIE HARD 2

One thing I picked up on in the process of editing this video… Die Hard 2: Die Harder is pretty awesome. Sure, it’s nowhere near the first film’s level of sharp storytelling or iconography, nor at the third film’s level of explosive, kinetic late 90’s action and wit — but is more faithful as a pure sequel to the original. The formula waned by the time With A Vengeance (1995) rolled around, and let’s not take for granted that John McClane had at least one more Christmas-themed, location-based hostage scenario to deal with. Even Holly McClane (Bonnie Bedelia), Al Powell (Reginald VelJohnson) and Thornberg (William Atherton) make a return, while newcomer Dennis Franz as Carmine Lorenzo proves to be a scene-stealer..! The aeroplane finale is the best ending to a Die Hard movie ever in my opinion, so… There’s that too.

A very MERRIEST of Christmases to you all..! I promised I’d have this video out in time for the Holiday Season… And look forward to my Die Hard 3 video, dropping sometime in July, 2022 because… Y’know, “Summer In The City” ;)
