Here’s to my debut video of Season 9 (2022), which showcases the fourth but NOT final Lethal Weapon film. Believe it or not, Mel’s actually directing a fifth in honour of the late Richard Donner… Respect. For over two decades though, Lethal Weapon 4 has remained the suitable end to this action series, jammed with comedy, heart and trademark set-pieces. The final duel against Jet Li is one of the greatest, most brutal showdowns in cinematic history in my eyes. It’s hard to watch your heroes getting beaten within an inch of their lives… I’ve decided not to include any footage of it in this trailer, merely tease, so you may be encouraged to see the thing for yourself. I’ve always been a fan of this movie. Like the rest of this series, it’s exceptionally underrated.
