Khanyisa and Timisa - Sisterly elephant calf moments!

Timisa has stolen many hearts over the past few months, with her gentle and kind nature. It was nearly four years ago that she was brought into the care of Adine and the Jabulani team by Elephants Alive, who had rescued her.

Adine and the elephant care team have seen a significant change in Timisa since Khanyisa's integration into the herd. She has become more confident and bolder, where previously she was quite reserved, timid and shy. Khanyisa seems to have given her strength and purpose, which is really fulfilling for our team to see.

Timisa has given Khanyisa friendship, kindred love and guidance. Timisa is the only elephant that Khanyisa plays with or challenges at times, and Timisa is always so calm, patient and understanding.

It is definitely a mutually beneficial relationship that is blossoming.
