Elephant trunks🐘🐘 and legs galore 🐘🐘as they drink around the dam together☀️☀️

Elephant trunks and legs galore as Adine gets a great close up of the herd as they drink at the dam on their way out into the wilderness.

The morning started with Timisa and Kumbura rushing to greet Khanyisa as she joined them from the orphanage. Timisa's movement of her back legs could have been her attempting to nudge Khanyisa (perhaps a bit of jealousy). However, elephants are also known to move their back legs like that when they discover something novel in their midst.

Shortly after Kumbura and Pisa displayed a bit of frustration with their head shaking, it is hard to know what that would have been about, but it did seem to be something between their little group.

Soon they set off and settled as they headed out for the day - Khanyisa followed Lundi as she usually does until they got divided, and she accidentally followed Zindoga! It was adorable to watch her as she tried to find Lundi again, who had dropped further behind. Kumbura and Bubi made sure she was well looked after.

The herd reached the dam, and both Fishan and Pisa trumpeted, but we were not entirely sure why. Adine wandered if the hippo who usually stays by the dam at the Jabulani Main lodge, was there, as she had seen him recently. But he wasn't to be seen.

Jabulani allowed Adine to get quite close as she took some lovely footage from below Jabulani's tummy that framed the scene. Lots of thirsty trunks and beautiful elephant legs created a passage to a curious Khanyisa, who rubbed her little head against the familiar feeling of Lundi's body.

Once they had enough to drink, they headed out into the wilderness. Adine was not going further with them and wished them a nice day as they carried on merrily ahead.
